Who we are
We are an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team (MDT) dedicated to your rehabilitation and we will help you to achieve the best possible recovery to get you back home.
What we do
On admission to us, you will be introduced to some of the ward multi-disciplinary team (MDT), who will agree an individual care plan with you. Our aim is to enable you to recover as much independence as possible before returning home. We will also set an expected date of discharge with you; this may be changed, if appropriate.
We have a strong rehabilitation focus on our ward. This means we will encourage you to set achievable goals and be as active as possible to make you more confident and help your recovery.
We encourage our patients to engage with this and your families and carers to support you.
A key part of your recovery will include getting up and dressed each day, so please make sure you have day clothes and suitable shoes with you, together with any items you may need for your personal care.
Please leave valuables at home or let us know if you would like them to be stored in the safe.
During your stay, we hope you will also be able to enjoy some of our activities, for example games, quizzes and group exercise sessions, which will help your recovery, progress and wellbeing.
The MDT will work together with you, your family and carers to make sure all support is in place before you go home.
