Opportunity to help with ADHD understanding and engagement project

We would like to invite one parent (who has a teenager) and one teenager (aged 12-18) with ADHD, to join our project team. We are exploring how teenagers understand and manage their ADHD, and we would love your input.

The parent and child do not need to be related.

We welcome interest from someone who does not have an education or health background.

Project dates

1 January to 31 December 2025.

Background

This research is being led by Gill Middleditch, an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, who was awarded funding by the Applied Research Collaboration Kent Surrey and Sussex.

What would you have to do?

You’ll team up with us to make sure the project runs smoothly and helps others. Your role will include:

  • Looking over documents and materials
  • Talking about what we have found
  • Helping figure out the best way to share the results with everyone
  • You don’t need to know anything about research – we are just looking for your input based on your experiences.

Some months you might have more to do, but it won’t take more than five hours in any month. All meetings will be online, and we’ll work around your schedule.

How can I register my interest and find out more?

Contact Gill Middleditch at kcht.CommunityPaediatrics@nhs.net
(please put in the subject bar FAO Gill Middleditch) to chat through or to register your interest.
