Behavioural workshop

This presentation is in regards to your child being referred to the Community Paediatrics team for assessment of possible Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms.

It aims to give you information and resources that are useful for you and your child.

This is a presentation to support you with your child’s needs. Please be advised that your child may not meet the diagnostic criteria for a diagnosis of ADHD.

What next?

Please complete the record sheet to show you have tried ideas from the online workshop and kept a record of them before sending to kentchft.qscommpaed@nhs.net. Please also include all strategies tried in the child's education setting too.

This information will help the clinicians to offer your child the most appropriate support and advice during the next appointment.

If you are unsure about medication and want more information, please tick the box on the worksheet. We will invite you to a online group specifically discussing what ADHD medication is and how it works.

Further appointments may not be organised until the worksheet is completed. In some circumstances we may offer a further appointment, however the worksheet is required to consider medication.

If your child is diagnosed with ADHD and do not submit behavioural worksheet, they will remain discharged from the service. However, you will continue to be given easy access to the service for 12 months if you wish to reconsider.
