Visiting someone on the ward?
Visits from families, friends and carers are an important part of patient care.
January 2025: Due to high levels of flu and other respiratory infections in the community, we are asking visitors to our hospitals to wear a mask for their visit.
If you have a cough, cold or flu-like symptoms, please do not visit the hospital.
Who we are
We are modern matrons, registered nurses, rehabilitation assistants, health care assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care managers, pharmacists, visiting medical officers and medical consultants who run Kent’s community hospitals. The wards are supported by ward clerks from our administration team.
What we do
Community hospitals provide a wide range of services including in-patient rehabilitation, outpatient consultations in major specialities such as child health, dental services, therapy and rehabilitation services, minor injuries, minor illness, phlebotomy, sexual health clinics and other out-of-hours treatments.
