Prime Importance of Communication and Language (PICL) training

This training was developed jointly by the Early Years Equality and Inclusion Team and the Speech and Language Therapy Teams in East Kent Hospital Foundation Trust and our own Kent Community's Children's Therapies Team. The training is designed for Early Years settings.

Course objectives

  • It will increase practitioners knowledge of the developmental stages of speech, language and communication in children 0 to 5 years old
  • Help practitioners to understand a range of strategies used to monitor and support communication development.

Eating, drinking and swallowing workshops

These workshops have been created to provide schools and professionals with essential dysphagia training. Dysphagia describes eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties in babies, children, and young people.
