Walk details
There are a range of different walk routes exploring local green space, the town and promenade area. Dates and meeting points:
- 5 March – meet at Dead Man’s corner in the Harbour for the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
- 12 March – meet at Dead Man’s corner in the harbour and walk to Seasalter and back.
- 19 March – meet at Meadow walk near top of Borstal Hill and walk down to Seasalter Church and into Whitstable.
- 26 March – meet at Rugby Club and walk around Chestfield.
- 2 April – meet at Dead Man’s corner in the harbour for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
- 9 April – meet at Dead Man’s corner in the harbour and walk to South Street and back via Crab and Winkle path and Stream walk.
- 16 April – meet at the bicycle sculpture in South Street near Tesco and walk along crab and winkle to Winding Pond and back.
- 23 April – meet at Herne Bay Bandstand and walk to Bishopstone and back.
- 30 April – meet at Hampton Pier bus stop and walk back to Whitstable.
- 7 May – meet at Dead Man’s corner in the harbour for either the short walk to Tankerton or the longer walk to Long Rock and back.
- 14 May – meet at Dead Man’s corner and walk to Seasalter and back.
These walks might involve negotiating fields, inclines, uneven footpaths and stiles. Please check with the walk leader if you are unsure of the suitability. Please wear appropriate footwear.
