We will contact you by phone or letter to arrange an appointment.
Please make sure we have the correct details so we are able to contact you.
If there are times when an appointment would be particularly convenient or inconvenient, please let us now. We will do our best to arrange appointment times to suit you.
Your first appointment
- You will be asked to verify your details, including your date of birth, address and phone number.
- Please wear appropriate clothing as you may be asked to undress to your underwear.
- Bring a list of your medication.
- Your appointment may be virtual and either in a group setting or a one-to-one consultation.
- If you are having a virtual consultation, make sure you are in a room where you can have a confidential conversation and demonstrate your movement to your physio.
- Please allow up to 45 minutes for your appointment.
- If you would like a chaperone or have any other special needs, for example requiring an interpreter, please let us know before your appointment so we can assist you. This applies to both face-to-face and virtual appointments.
Follow-up appointments
- Further treatment, if needed, will be discussed with your physiotherapist along with the length of time between the appointments.
- Further treatment will be virtual or face-to-face
- Please allow 30 minutes for a one-to-one consultation and longer if you are joining an exercise class.
- We will try to make your appointment at a time convenient to you.
Cancelled appointments
Where possible, please contact us at least two working days before your appointment if you need to change or cancel it. This means we can offer the appointment to another patient and it helps to keep our waiting times down.
If you cancel more than one appointment, you may be discharged from the service.
Missed appointments
If you miss an appointment, please contact us within two working days to re-book. If we do not hear from you, you may be discharged.
If you miss your re-booked appointment or any future appointments, you will be discharged.
This is to keep our waiting times down. Thank you for your understanding.
