Neuroma removal exercises

A guide for patients on exercises following the removal of a neuroma
Your stitches have been removed and it is essential that you carry out the exercises outlined here. Failure to do so can increase your risk of developing hard scar tissue in the area where the neuroma was removed, which can produce discomfort and sometimes cause pain.
This exercise is simple and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. Apply aqueous, non-fragranced vitamin E cream or Bio Oil to the scar.
Using your thumb or finger start at one end of the scar and using small circular motions apply a small amount of pressure (just enough that it becomes slightly uncomfortable) until you reach the opposite end of the scar. The whole exercise should take about 30 to 45 seconds. Repeat the exercise three times, four times a day. As time goes on you will need to increase the amount of pressure you use.
