Fortifying food means adding extra calories and protein to your meals without adding any extra volume.
This is good for people who have a small appetite or for those who struggle to eat large quantities.
The foods below can be added to all meals, including your breakfast, lunch and dinner as well snacks.
- One tablespoon of any oil 120kcals.
- One tablespoon skimmed milk powder 52kcals.
- One tablespoon single cream 28kcals.
- One tablespoon double cream 70kcals.
- One tablespoon butter 75kcals.
- One tablespoon mayonnaise 100kcals.
- One tablespoon salad cream 48kcals.
- One tablespoon peanut butter 100kcals.
- One tablespoon chocolate spread 85kcals.
- One tablespoon sugar 48kcals.
- One tablespoon jam 48kcals.
- One tablespoon honey 50kcals.
- One tablespoon golden syrup 50kcals.
- Match box size cheddar cheese (30g) 125kcals.
- One tablespoon Lactose free cream 52kcal.
