Aim
To increase the amount of pressure in your mouth and throat. This will help move food and/or drink from your mouth into your throat and down into your food pipe more effectively.
What you need to do:
Swallow normally but as you swallow squeeze your tongue hard against the roof of your mouth.
Next, squeeze your throat muscles hard. Imagine you are trying to swallow a large egg.
