Kent is one of the sunniest and warmest parts of the UK – however we can experience a range of temperatures. The warmest months are June, July and August. Average summer temperature is around 21°C but some days can reach 30°C or more.
Temperatures begin to drop throughout September and October before plummeting in January and February with average daily highs reaching no more than about 7°C. We will get frost and sometimes heavy snow during these months.
Clothing to bring:
- A thick, waterproof coat with a hood
- Vests / warm underwear
- Thick socks
- Raincoat and umbrella
- Hats (no balaclavas as these can be associated with crime)
- Scarf, gloves (or mittens)
- Wellington boots
- Jeans/long trousers
- Long and short-sleeved T-shirts
- Fleece/jumpers

- Leggings
- Trainers
- Black work shoes
- Warm boots.
