Finance

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust procures goods and services from a range of providers. Contracts vary from small one-off purchases to large service contracts. What procurement process followed will depend on the nature of the product or service and will be designed to achieve the most advantageous tender.

The trust is committed to giving open access to our above threshold contract opportunities whilst maximising the potential for value for money. Procurements for these opportunities are conducted in an open, fair and transparent manner and the trust welcomes new suppliers to bid to supply goods and services.

The trust applies the relevant procurement legislation to its processes and this will be either:

  • The Procurement Regulations 2015
  • The Provider Selection Regime
  • Or the newly introduced Procurement 2023 which came into force on 24 February 2025.

All contract opportunities that we need to advertise will be found on the central digital platform, for example, the enhanced Find a Tender service. These are all in the public domain and searchable.

The newly introduced Procurement Act 2023 means that there is more transparency than ever and even contracts we do not need to compete will be published here when the new act applies. Of course, there are live tenders to bid for too and live contracts being published daily and this data is freely available to everyone.
