Providing care to looked after children across Kent and Medway
Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust will be expanding its Looked After Children Service to Medway from 1 April.
We will taking over the running of the service from Medway Community Healthcare (MCH). The service is led by registered nurses and provides health assessments and specialist advice to support children placed in care in Medway.
KCHFT already provides the vast majority of the service across the rest of Kent.
Head of Service Philippa White said: “We know just how vulnerable these children are so we have been working together to make sure their care is not disrupted in any way. All nurses will be transferring across to KCHFT, so children should still see a nurse they are familiar with.”
To contact the service from 1 April, please phone 0300 123 4461 and email:
