Gold for hospital at RITA awards

Congratulations to the team at Sevenoaks Hospital who won gold at the annual RITA user group awards.

The hospital’s dementia team was crowned winner in the best use of RITA for group activities category.

Hosted via MS Teams by the My Improvement Network Ltd, there were more than 100 attendees from across the UK at this inaugural RITA conference and celebration event.

KCHFT was represented by Grahame Hardy, Specialist Nurse for Dementia and Sharon Wells, Therapy Assistant and Dementia Link Worker.

The pair spoke about the critical role RITA plays in supporting staff and patients, both clinically and environmentally.

They showcased the excellent work at Sevenoaks Hospital sharing a positive outcome case study.

Grahame said: “I’m absolutely delighted. It was a great conference and the awards were really exciting. Sharon and I really showcased the trust and we received so much positive feedback in the comment section.

"It’s a wonderful achievement and I can’t wait for Sevenoaks Hospital to receive the award.”
