Apply now for a Darzi Fellowship

Looking for leadership development opportunities in health? This could be for you.

If you’re interested in improving patient care and transforming community services, you could be our next Darzi fellow as we look to meet the future needs of our changing population.

We are launching an ambitious programme of work, in partnership with other system providers, focussing on the role of our community hospitals in improving patient outcomes for people in Kent.

To support the work, we will be hosting two Darzi Fellowship opportunities for the next academic year.

What is the Darzi Fellowship?

The Darzi Fellowship Clinical Leadership Programme is a unique opportunity designed to train and develop senior clinical leaders. It is a 12-month challenge which leads to a post-graduate Leadership in Health certificate. Host organisations design challenges for Darzi Fellows to focus on as part of their course.

You can find more information on the programme here.

What are our leadership challenges?

KCHFT is hosting two unique posts as part of defined programmes of work, to support and inform our future strategy.

The two areas are:

  • Community hospital referral pathways: The purpose of this post is to carry out a comprehensive and objective review of our existing referral pathways and transfers of care into community services. The Darzi Fellow will work across acute and community providers to explore and identify variation in established step-up and step-down pathways into community hospitals and the complexities that lead to variation. The Fellow would bring the patient voice to the design of the pathways and define what an improved pathway would look like. Apply for this role.
  • Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre: The purpose of this post is to provide an objective review of new and innovative ambulatory pathways of care in Edenbridge, working with primary care and community health providers and in partnership with local people. This post will support embedding the new clinical model, while identifying learning that can be applied across all our services to improve the patient experience. Apply for this role.

Interested? Applications are welcome from all healthcare professionals including medical / GP trainees, nurses and allied health professionals (therapists, pharmacists etc).
