High five! Five thousand rewards for five-year anniversary of our staff recognition programme
When it comes to celebrating the good work of colleagues, at #TeamKCHFT, we don’t just go with the flo.
Our internal flo rewards scheme encourages colleagues to praise, recognise and celebrate each other’s good work.
The scheme, part of our intranet flo, named after the original community nurse, Florence Nightingale, lets colleagues spotlight the outstanding work of others.
This year marks the five-year anniversary of flo rewards and in that time, five thousand of the instant gongs have been handed out from all corners of our trust.
The accolades cover anything from IT support to incredible patient experience and everything in between.
Team Administrator Gemma Crispin gave a flo reward to Margaret Wells, an immunisation nurse for her work in clinic. Gemma said: “I had the pleasure of working alongside Margaret today in clinic and I witnessed an interaction with a young person with learning difficulties who had never been able to receive a vaccination before.
“The way Margaret spoke to him, reassured him and spent time with him was phenomenal and encompassed the reason we are here doing this job.”
Other rewards recognise colleagues for good work ethics and team working.
Administrator Michelle Tidman gave thanks to Respiratory Nursing Team Administrator Rebecca Mason, who started at KCHFT recently.
She said: “This lady is still new to our service and already has become a top team player, always the first to offer assistance to her colleagues. Rebecca, I really am so happy that you decided to join our service.t”
Charlotte North, Communications and Media Officer said: “Having worked at KCHFT for just five months, I was really pleasantly surprised to receive recognition from teams I was supporting on our internal website, flo.
“It made all the hard work I put into projects worthwhile and gave me a spring in my step that has stayed with me. Having the ability to give rewards is equally satisfying, a few words can really go a long way.”
The flo rewards are just one of the many ways that #TeamKCHFT celebrates and respects colleagues. Chief People Officer, Victoria Robinson-Collins, said: “The little acts of recognition really make a difference. flo rewards are an easy way for colleagues to give thanks to one another. It really helps people feel valued and part of #TeamKCHFT and is just one of the ways we support them to feel appreciated and confident at work.”
