Putting carers on the map – free conference in June
Are you an unpaid carer, helping a loved one, family member or friend?
Our free carers' conference will bring together expert speakers, specialist organisations and carers, to highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and help them access local support and services.
Everybody is welcome to attend the event at Repton Connect Community Centre from 12noon to 6pm on Thursday, 13 June.
Please reserve your place via our online booking form.
As well as the opportunity to talk to health care providers, support groups and fellow carers, people can have a free on-the-spot health check on our public health bus between 12noon to 4pm. Our team will be on-hand on the accessible bus to check weight, blood pressure and cholesterol and give advice on leading a healthy life.
Did you know that our conference is happening during Carers Week? The annual campaign recognises the contribution unpaid carers make to families and communities throughout the UK.
This year’s theme is ‘Putting carers on the map’, to make sure the valuable voices of unpaid carers are heard by politicians, employers and service providers country-wide.
