Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre opens
Chief Executive, Mairead McCormick
After more than seven years of hard work, we are delighted to be opening the doors to Edenbridge Memorial Health Centre and welcoming our first patients on Monday, 27 November.
Our new health centre will provide quality care to the people of Edenbridge, closer to home and at the heart of our community.
Having our services working together under one roof, including a new GP surgery, children’s services, diagnostic services, a wellbeing centre and a wide range of outpatient clinics, will also reduce the need for people to travel to Tunbridge Wells or Maidstone hospitals for some care.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this brilliant new facility a reality, especially to you, our local community.
Thank you for taking the time to join us at our public events this year and throughout this process, sharing your ideas, your concerns and your passion. Your commitment to the NHS has made sure we have been able to make this building a real community hub.
We are really proud the centre is opening. It is a shining example of supporting people to manage their health, stay well and be part of the community, while delivering care, closer to home.
When we open the health centre on Monday, 27 November, please note we will no longer be delivering NHS services from the former Edenbridge Medical Practice building or Edenbridge and District War Memorial Hospital. All GP appointments, the walk-in minor injury service and outpatient care previously provided at the hospital, will now be located at the new centre.
We look forward to welcoming you when you get the opportunity to visit your new health centre.
Best wishes,
Mairead and Mark
