Train to become a nurse with KCHFT

If a career in nursing has always been your dream but you thought it was out of reach, think again.

We are recruiting now for the February 2024 intake of nursing associate (NA) apprentices and registered nurse degree apprentices (RNDA) in partnership with the Open University, meaning you could become a fully-qualified nursing associate or registered nurse without the need to go to university.

During both programmes, you’ll be employed by us as a healthcare assistant, so you’ll earn a full-time salary while studying.

Colleagues are supported by practice supervisors and practice assessors for the entirety of the apprenticeship, as part of a supportive team. Your course is fully-funded by us.

Working in the community setting offers a wide range of opportunities to help adults, children and their loved ones receive clinical support in their own home or close to home.

We offer lots of practice and learning supports, such as dedicated clinical student partners who work with apprentices during their program. KCHFT’s Clinical Academy offers cutting edge immersive, virtual, and hands-on learning opportunities.

You’ll gain confidence in your skills before going out and doing it for real as part of our outstanding team.
