Healthcare Assistants needed in our west Kent community hospitals
Can you bring your compassion, life skills and experience to the NHS?
Could you help our patients feel safe and cared for as they recover from illness or operations?
We’re looking for compassionate local people to join the teams in our west Kent community hospitals in Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Hawkhurst and Edenbridge as trainee healthcare assistants.
You don’t need any formal qualifications to join us and we can support you to gain a level two qualification as a healthcare support worker as part of your role.
You’ll be assisting our nurses and therapists to care for patients in one of our friendly community hospitals. Community hospitals provide care to people who are recovering from illness or operations who don’t need intensive care but still need extra support to get home. No two days are the same when you work in the NHS but you’ll be helping with patient care, mealtimes, activities and so much more.
You’ll need patience, kindness and a listening ear.
In return you’ll be part of the greatest institution in the world, the NHS, with all the rewards and benefits you would expect:
- Annual increments to your salary
- Regular training and development opportunities
- Free health and wellbeing schemes such as fast-track physiotherapy and counselling
- Free tea and coffee.
Learn while you earn! We can support you to gain a level two qualification as a healthcare support worker as part of your role.
Don’t take our word for it, HCA Angela Smedley says: “I love my job, it really is rewarding. It’s hard work, we’re busy all the time but it’s really fulfilling. We’ve got such a lovely team, everyone works together. I have only been in healthcare for seven years, before that I did an office job for 25 years, but it’s the best decision I ever made to come into healthcare.”
Apply now online or book an appointment at our open day and you could leave with a firm job offer.
