Reasonable adjustments
Neurodivergent people are legally entitled to ‘reasonable adjustments’. This means that people working in health, social care, employment and education should change how they work with autistic/ADHD people to make accessing services easier and engagement with services more successful.
Care Act assessment
Having a diagnosis of autism/ADHD means you are eligible for a care act assessment if you think you have any care and support needs. You can complete a self assessment through the local authority by phone or online.

Alternatively, please ask your GP or any health professional involved in your care to refer you if you cannot self-refer.
Care and treatment review (CTR)
Autistic people and people with learning disabilities should not be inappropriately admitted to hospital. Commissioners and health professionals need to explore all options to keep people at home where ever possible. This process is called a care and treatment review.
