What is a casted foot support?

A casted foot support is a custom made removable support. It is lightweight, thin and fits into many shoe styles.

Why do I need to wear this support?

The cast is designed to reduce the pressure on your foot ulcer and help it to heal.

When should I wear the support?

To get the maximum benefit it should be worn day and night.

How do I keep the support clean?

The cast can be wiped with warm soapy water.

Are there any risks?

As with any new footwear there is always the risk that a part of it may rub your skin.

If you experience any pain or discomfort or notice any redness or other changes to your skin you should remove the cast. When the cast is first issued it is advisable to check your foot after two hours for signs of rubbing and at least once a day thereafter. If you have any problems please contact us.
