Helping you stay connected during COVID-19 and beyond.

Independence and mobility, particularly for older people living in areas with limited public transport, contributes towards a positive and healthy lifestyle. It allows people to remain connected with local communities, visit family and friends and to access services, including healthcare.

Covid-19 has created further challenges but Click and connect – a service offered by South East DriveAbility is here to help you. This is a pilot project funded by the Department for Transport in collaboration with Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and will be accepting applications until 31 May 2021.

The service is free of charge.

How will Click and connect help me?

The service aims to help you achieve a level of independence, in a supportive way with the help and guidance of our friendly staff and volunteers. With an emphasis on making learning a fun and positive experience, we will focus on your needs to help you stay connected with the latest information on transport, health and social care, staying connected to family and friends and exploring new interests.

What to expect at an appointment

Clients will be contacted initially by telephone. Subsequent consultations will be on a face-to-face basis, subject to COVID-19 restrictions.

How to access the service

You can contact us to sign-up for the scheme or for more information, we will also take referrals from healthcare professionals and charitable organisations

Criteria for participants

  • live in Kent or East Sussex
  • aren’t confident using the internet
  • have access to a desktop, laptop computer or smartphone
  • have a telephone line with internet access.
